Referrals Procedure
Referrals are normally made to St. Martins Centre by Social and Healthcare professionals e.g. Social Workers, GP's, Community Psychiatric Nurses, although we do accept a few requests for help from friends and relatives, or even self-referrals. Once a person is referred, a member of the Centre's staff visits the referrals home to ascertain whether or not that persons needs can be met by the Centre. Prospective users are then invited to a taster day, and, subject to agreement by both parties, offered a one day per week place on a trial basis. After that, a more permanent provision may be made.
